How to get to Mallaig

By Car from Glasgow:

Take the A82 from Glasgow which takes you all the way to Fort William, from there the Road to the Isles and Mallaig is well signed A830 (The Road to the Isles). Postcode for satnav PH41 4QS.

By Bus from Glasgow:

If you are travelling by bus to Fort William, the Scottish Citylink website gives all the necessary timetable details.

By train from Glasgow:

Scotrail runs a regular service from Glasgow Queen Street to Mallaig along the famous West Highland Line. Timetable details are available on the Scotrail website. From Fort-William you can take the Jacobite steam train all the way to Mallaig.

By ferry from Skye:

Daily services are operated to Mallaig from Armadale. There are also daily sailings from the small Isles of Eigg, Rum, Muck and Canna. All of these are operated by Caledonian MacBrayne.
